Our tenner celebrates Our Lady as the model for humanity's openness to God. She is called the “Reed of God” because she remained empty, open, and ready to let the breath of the Holy Spirit create divine life through her.
Our handcrafted one-decade rosary is made in our Charlotte, NC workshop, and reflects that image of quiet receptivity and holy simplicity that Mary models for us.
At one end of our one-decade rosary, a gold tone Miraculous Medal reminds us of Mary’s “yes” to God and her openness to His grace. On the other, a petite golden crucifix gleams with the promise of our redemption. In between these two are the moments when Mary said “yes” repeatedly, in obedience and selfless love.
The smooth, oblong olive wood Hail Mary beads are reminiscent of the hollow reed that symbolizes Our Lady, strung on ivory cording for purity and peace. A single ivory wood bead marks the Our Father, inviting stillness of heart before God.
A Star of Bethlehem charm is the finishing touch, drawing the heart to Christ’s birth and the mystery of His incarnation. Like the Christmas star, Mary points beyond herself. Our star charm is a small but radiant sign of her light—her constant, maternal presence - guiding us toward Christ.
We designed our tenner to accompany the beloved classic The Reed of God and the Hallow app’s Advent reflections. May it invite prayerful meditation on Mary’s example—her humility, her emptiness, and her readiness to be filled by God’s presence.
