As your fingers move around the African Turquoise beads on this St. Jude rosary you will notice the variation in colors and patterns. Light and dark greens swirl together to remind us of the green cloak of St. Jude. Green is a color associated with new growth, rebirth, and renewal. It reminds us of God’s promise, “Behold, I make all things new!” (Revelation 21:5). The black and brown patches remind us to bring all of our troubles and toils in prayer to God. St. Jude has long been called upon as the patron saint of hopeless or impossible causes, however, do not view St. Jude as a sad or depressing saint - instead we call upon him with great hope! The sword crucifix reminds us of Christ’s sacrifice, as well as the martyrdom St. Jude suffered to spread Christ’s message throughout the world.
